Director's Letter to Parents

The decision to send your child to resident camp is a great act of faith. At YMCA Camp Hough, we take this responsibility very seriously, and seek to provide a nurturing environment that focuses on relationship building and personal growth.Camp Song Boys

We are committed to developing programs that encourage campers to think outside the box, challenge their imaginations, and develop skills they never thought they could.  Our trained and certified staff will strive to foster healthy living and a passion for the outdoors within your child. Our low camper to staff ratio gives us the advantage to build strong relationships while ensuring your camper’s safety.

As a former Y camper, and having over ten years of YMCA camp staff experience, I take great pride in the staff that I train and the programming they will provide.  Each individual that comes through our gates becomes a member of our long standing family, one that has been growing for over 100 years.  I invite you and your child to become members, and to be a part of a long history of trying new things, developing new skills, and making friends that will last a lifetime.

I look forward to greeting you and your child in person this summer at YMCA Camp Hough.

Yours in Camping,   Carolynn Weigley
